New designation distinguishes Cameron Park Computer Services as a network security firm with the skills necessary to withstand hackers and decrease costs associated with security breaches
Cameron Park, CA - JANUARY 9, 2007 - CompTIA today announced Mark Anthony Germanos of Cameron Park Computer Services has successfully completed the CompTIA Security+ certification requirements.
The CompTIA Security+ certification provides the first global standard of competency for foundation-level security practitioners. CompTIA Security+ certification tests the security knowledge mastery of an individual with at least two years on-the-job networking experience, with emphasis on security. The certification covers communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, access control, authentication, external attack, and operational security.
U.S. Department of Defense employees or contractors engaged in work related to information security are required to be certified, as specified in a list of certifications included in the Directive 8570 manual. CompTIA Security+ is one of the designated certifications. The Security+ certification thus demonstrates the practitioner's knowledge of information security and helps equip the practitioner with the skills necessary to withstand hackers and decrease costs associated with security breaches.
“Cameron Park Computer Services is extremely pleased with our CompTIA Security+ status,” said Mark Anthony Germanos, President, at Cameron Park Computer Services. “This special designation allows Cameron Park Computer Services to effectively promote ourselves to customers as having proven expertise in delivering high-value, proactive network security solutions. We are able to diagnose problems, meet Department of Defense requirements and implement solutions in a much quicker fashion. We can help businesses remain in business."
This certificate is awarded by CompTIA, the global trade association representing the business interests of the information technology industry. For more than 20 years, CompTIA has provided research, networking and partnering opportunities to its members, developing standards and best practices and impact IT worldwide.
