After proposing a project, set a reminder to follow-up within 7 days. I sent a proposal to a client last week and forgot about it. I looked at my follow-up list last night, saw a follow-up item for this proposal, sent an e-mail to the client and received the go-ahead. This is not the biggest proposal I have ever written. It is a project that will help the client move his business forward. For whatever CRM tool you use, make sure you create tasks that prompt you to follow-up opportunities.

You have already done most of the work. You did the research, found the prospect and scheduled an appointment. You presented the idea, earned the prospect’s respect and left the decision in his hands. Most of the work is done. It is time to follow-up. Your SEO success hinges upon good follow-up.
